New (and Past) Adventures Ahead!

Hey everyone! It's me - Aimée :)

I've had the great privilege of being the yarnie BFF to so many over the past years (especially the last 6 years) and it really is a joy for me. I love helping people with their projects, helping them find a great yarn for a pattern or the perfect pattern for a specific yarn. I am absolutely loving my day job working with MDK in their customer service and contributing to their fabulous MDK Society community (check them out! highly recommended!!).

And I love my yarn stash. Or, as one friend called it, the yarn shop in my house.

The yarn stash runneth over as I'm sure it does for many of my fellow stitchers, and there are such treasures inside of them. Likewise, there are so many new and wonderful products around for us to explore. I thought it would be fun to have a space to continue sharing the joy that these past kits and clubs brought into our lives.

After some sincere thought, I decided to create such a membership space on Patreon.

There's just one membership available - Your Yarnie BFF - and I've designed it to be a continuation of the work I'm known for: helping and inspiring makers. This is all very VERY new to me, so for now, there's just a few benefits but I think they're ones that members will enjoy.

Weekly members-only posts will explore the patterns and yarns that caught my eye over the past week along with some pattern and yarn pairings. You may find some pairings with yarns of the past that are quietly napping in our stashes! There's also a place to chat about what's in the post which I really love :)

I will host a monthly sit & stitch where members can ask me (almost) anything and I'll do my best to answer and help. Maybe it's a question about a technique that has you stuck or a question about where to find something. Maybe I'll chat about a new pattern book or yarn. Again, this is very new for me so this particular bit may evolve over time.

Members will have access to a perk I'm offering called "phone a friend" where members can send me their pattern and yarn + pattern pairing questions and I'll do my best to help. Right now, I'm limiting these to three per week.

I've also set up a dedicated Discord group for members who like to regularly chat about their daily crochet and knit adventures.

And one last thing! Patreon members will also receive a 20% off discount on the patterns in my Ravelry shop.
