I've had a rare morning today. I woke up relatively early, had nowhere to rush off to, and everyone was still asleep.
Not a typical morning for me, at least not lately.
So what should I do? Should I start working? Make breakfast?
No...I decided to pick up the pair of socks I started earlier this week and get in a few rounds.
Admittedly, this is not the project I should be working on. I have a yarn project for work that I should be stitching on, a collaboration I should start drafting out, and about 5 patterns that I should also be drafting out, but I decided to do something many of us don't do often enough: I took a break.
Of course, since I have a habit of multitasking, I decided to at least listen to an audio book while I knit. Paging through my Audible library, which is nowhere near as extensive as my other book-related libraries but still has a healthy selection, I landed on The Yarn Whisperer by Clara Parkes, and it was like I spent a morning with an old friend I have yet to meet.
As I sat and knit, I was quite entertained by the randomness of the thoughts running through my head and thought, this would make a good blog post. And then I remembered...
...my blog here has been woefully neglected.
I began my blog and site here 5 years ago this month, and I haven't given it nearly the attention it deserves. I've been trying to think of a way to get back to it in a way that fits for me at this moment. Because ~ plot twist ~ there are several bananas that have been thrown into my life over these last 5 years, many of which have come in the past year, and a girl can only peel so many.
So, as I seem to do every few months or years, I have another approach that I am going to try here with my blog, and schedule time to update portions of my site with more current info on patterns and such. Hopefully, I will be able to keep up with this new approach and put more posts up about my shenanigans with yarn.
Because life around me is moving pretty fast, and I’m trying to be better at stopping to look around every so often so I don't miss it.
And with that, I will leave you, especially since another banana just got thrown at me.
